Living in Harmony
Harmony is one of the oldest communities in western Pennsylvania. It was founded in 1804 by Johann Georg Rapp and the Harmony Society, a group of German religious settlers who built mills, workshops and vineyards here before moving west in 1814. Much of the town they built still stands, and the borough's historic district is a National Historic Landmark. Harmony is small, with 942 residents in the 2020 census, and sits next to Zelienople along Connoquenessing Creek.
Getting around
Route 68 runs through downtown Harmony, connecting to Zelienople to the west and Evans City to the east. Interstate 79 exits 87 and 88 are just outside the borough, which makes Cranberry Township and the rest of the North Hills an easy drive.
